FAQ · How it works

How to Work with K-pop Producers on Your Own Song

You share your voice and the music you love. K-pop producers create a song for your voice, direct your vocal live on Zoom, then produce, mix and release it under your name. It's fully remote, and most projects are completed within 4 weeks.

What K-pop producers do for you

Every package includes custom song production, arrangement, mixing and mastering, album artwork and a worldwide digital release. You focus on your vocal, and we handle the rest.

Your producers are chosen based on your questionnaire answers and your voice. In your recording session, the head producer directs you live, and an interpreter joins every video call.

We don't guarantee chart results or a well-known producer. Our focus is getting your song released, and every producer who works with you is an active, working producer.

How it works, step by step

  1. Share your voice and taste

Fill in your questionnaire, send a voice sample and share a few songs you love. You don't need technical terms: tell us how the music makes you feel. If you have lyrics or a song idea, there's a place for that too.

  2. Get a reference track made for your voice

Your producers create a reference track based on your voice samples and questionnaire answers. The more detail you share, the closer it gets to what you want.

  3. Prepare with your producer

Your first Creative Progress Report brings a detailed vocal analysis, three reference songs picked for you, your producer's intent for the track and your session schedule. Before you record, your producer goes over the song with you, checks the key, adjusts parts that are hard to sing and checks your equipment if you record at home.

  4. Record live with your producer

Record at home or in a studio we book near you, while your producer directs you live on Zoom. Studio rental is covered.

  5. Production, mixing and mastering

Your producers finish the arrangement, mix and master your track, and create your album artwork.

  6. Release under your name

Your song is released on major streaming platforms worldwide under the artist name you choose. Your final report comes with your master audio and album data, your producer's overall review, your planned release date and new song recommendations.

Most projects are completed within 4 weeks, depending on scheduling and revisions.

What vocal direction actually sounds like

Lessons make you a better singer over time. Direction makes this one song right: your producer tells you what to change and why, so the vocal you record is ready to release.

Before you record, you and your producer agree on what the song is about and what the vocal must deliver. Your takes are measured for pitch, timing and tone, so feedback points to something real.

Here are the kinds of notes artists have heard in their sessions:

  • Use less vibrato in the verse. Keep it short and simple.
  • Sing it like a whisper, close to the mic.
  • Let the last note breathe.
  • Hold back until the bridge, so the bridge stands out.
  • Your low tone is your strength. Lead with it.
  • Don't chase every note. Get the feeling right first.

We build on your style rather than change it. Your producer may suggest directions that could work better for the song, and we talk every one through with you.

Do you need to be a great singer?

No. Most of our clients are not professional singers. Your producer listens for the feeling first, and works on the rest with you.

If a part is hard to sing, together we adjust the key, replace notes that sit too high or too low, rework the part and give you a practice plan so you can deliver the song well.

Recording from home or a studio

To record at home, you'll need a computer, an audio interface, headphones and a condenser microphone. Recording on a phone isn't supported.

We check your setup before you record. If your home setup isn't ready, we'll suggest a studio near you instead, and studio rental is covered.

To prepare, practice the song with your reference track. We recommend memorizing the lyrics if you can. It isn't required, but singing without reading lets you focus on the feeling of the song.

Who owns the song?

The copyright in the finished song belongs to the producers who write it. If you take part in writing the lyrics, you share in that copyright. The master rights belong to Producer K by default, and with any package you can choose an option that transfers them to you.

The song is released under your artist name, and you're free to use it in performances, videos and on social media.
